Mozilla has launched its first device toting its own operating system today (July 2nd).
Spain will be the first country to receive the handset and then the HTML5-based Firefox OS devices will start rolling out around Europe.
The ZTE Open is thought to be the smartphone in question, which has hit the shelves in the nation for around €69 (around £60).
It is thought the Firefox handsets will be targeted towards emerging markets as a low-cost option which will harbour the power of HTML5.
Mozilla OS handsets are expected to hit central and eastern Europe soon after the Spanish release, but there's no word about a possible UK date, or whether it is even planned to arrive here.
