After all the hype that surrounded the Facebook Home release it may be a little disappointing for the company that only half-a-million Android users have downloaded it on their mobile phone.
Facebook reached the download marker yesterday (April 21st), according to the Google Play listings. When compared to apps like Instagram, which received five million downloads in the first six days, is a little underwhelming.
Although, the fact that the feature is only available on certain handsets may give the company a little bit of leeway with the statistics.
Also, international launches have been staggered and the UK launch wasn’t until April 16th.
However it doesn’t distract from the fact that less than 500,000 users wanted to download it to give it a try out of curiosity, even if they deactivated it shortly after.
