Phone users who have the environment at the front of their minds could find that selling mobiles and moving to Nokia is a good idea.
That is because the Finnish brand is said to be one of the most eco-friendly in the telecommunications market.
Fresh from releasing the Lumia 800 and Lumia 710 devices, it has made a bold statement about its commitment to the environment.
Nokia Conversation, the company's official blog, noted that sustainability is "at the heart of everything Nokia does".
It pointed to several examples of its sustainability measures, including the provision of the WWF Eco Guru tool from its store allows consumers to measure the footprint of their life.
The publication went on to suggest that Nokia is not into "gimics" or one-off stunts, but instead focuses on sustainability at "every stage of operations".
Nokia users were given a boost recently when Lloyds TSB launched a mobile banking app that works on its operating system.
