All mobile phone application developers could soon be given the opportunity to respond to reviews left on virtual store Google Play.
Android device owners can currently leave a rating and comment on purchase pages for games and tools, which could help other customers to make an informed purchase decision.
However, the majority of creators do not have the opportunity to reply, meaning they cannot inform users of an imminent bug fix, defend an unfair comment nor provide additional help.
Some shoppers might miss out on fantastic apps and developers could lose revenue as a result of the reviews, so allowing communication is important.
The search engine giant is apparently working on expanding this ability to developers, and may even make the function available to all.
Google Play's Top Paid App at the time of writing is EA's Need for Speed Most Wanted, which has received an average four-star review from almost 12,000 customers.
