Another benefit of selling mobiles and switching to an Apple product – such as the iPhone, iPad or iPod touch – has emerged.
The US manufacturer has confirmed the launch of its new iCloud technology, which features a number of services designed to provide data storage.
All of the tools are said to work seamlessly with any of the devices in question, while users can even combine them with a desktop PC or Mac.
Steve Jobs, Apple's chief executive officer, said it can be a "real hassle" to maintain information across a number of platforms.
"iCloud keeps your important information and content up to date. All of this happens automatically and wirelessly and because it's integrated into our apps you don't even need to think about it," he stated.
Patently Apple recently suggested that the company is also preparing to add infrared technology to its range of products, such as the iPhone.
