British people have shown a strong desire to swap some of the key components in their lives, which could lead to some selling mobiles in favour of newer models.
A new survey by Orange has found that a string of components would be willingly traded in by people looking to add something new to their existence.
For example, some 46 per cent of individuals admitted they would swap their current partner for a stranger, friend or celebrity should they have the chance to.
In addition, 62 per cent said they would happily exchange where they live for a home abroad, such as in Rome or Amsterdam.
Pippa Dunn, chief marketing officer at Everything Everywhere, said Orange has included its Swapables programme on its latest tariffs to cater for the desire to trade.
“With Swapables, customers get services on their phone like unlimited music and live Sky Sports and … you can change your Swapables every 30 days,” she stated.
Orange this week announced it had updated its Business Sense platform to enable small firms to make the most of mobile phone technology.
