Businesses in a variety of sectors are among those to be targeted by new technology from mobile phones operator Everything Everywhere.
The firm, which was created by the merger of Orange and T-Mobile, has revealed it is creating a single ecosystem for m-commerce.
This will help companies, retailers, banks and other organisations to reach customers for a number of purposes – such as advertising.
In addition, consumers will be able to ditch credit cards and cash in favour of using new Near Field Communications software that will see mobiles fitted with the ability to pay for products.
Tom Alexander, chief executive officer at Everything Everywhere, said: “The benefits will be felt across the whole industry, allowing people to manage their money, helping advertisers reach their customers on the move, and helping banks provide their clients with [services].”
Peter O’Grady, service director for WebFOCUS product marketing at Information Builders, recently recommended Mobile Faves as a top app for businesspeople.
