Mobile phone company Blackberry has denied that American customers have given the Z10 an unwelcome response by returning a high number of devices.
The smartphone has had a luke warm reaction from customers and one analyst has commented that the handsets are being returned faster than they are being sold.
The company has insisted that the amount of returns of the Z10 is in line with what was predicted and of other high-end smartphones on the market.
Blackberry said in a statement that media representation that the device had been returned in unusually high numbers was “absolutely false”.
The Canadian firm added: “Our data shows that return rates for BlackBerry Z10 devices both in the US and on a global basis are in line with or better than our expectations and are consistent with return rates for other premium smartphones in the market today.”
The Blackberry Z10 is considered critical for the success of the company as many predict that the BB10 operating system could be the firm’s last chance at staying in profit.
