According to Gareth Beavis, as one of the latest additions to the Research In Motion range of smartphones, the 9700 has been upgraded in a number of ways on its predecessor.
In addition to being smaller and having a faster processor, the reviewer explained that the inclusion of the 5.0 version of the BlackBerry operating system (OS) means everything is easier to navigate.
“For instance music and video are now grouped together in one place,” Mr Beavis said.
“But this OS update hasn’t really affected the main core of the new Bold, with messaging still as seamless as ever to set up,” the writer concluded.
The BlackBerry Bold 9700 has a 2.4-inch display and full qwerty keyboard as well as a track pad for navigating the menu screens.
Vodafone is one network currently offering the handset.
