A video allegedly showing a BlackBerry 10 (BB10) L-Series mobile phone has been leaked by Mexican site Hola Telcel.
The footage shows a full-touchscreen as expected. Research in Motion (RIM) seems to be shunning the traditional QWERTY keyboard in favour of a design which is more popular among consumers.
The company has reported huge losses in the face of competition from market leaders Samsung and Apple, so may be hoping that a new approach will attract sales.
Thorstein Heins showcased the upcoming BB10 operating system at a Californian event on September 25th, which should be available in early 2013.
It seems to be aimed at the business user, as the mobile phone owners will be able to utilise work and personal BlackBerry Balance modes.
The separate business profile can be controlled by the user's workplace. Sensitive information will be password protected and can be remotely wiped in the case of loss or theft.
