A large number of people who have invested in the new Apple iPhone 4S may have done so after choosing to recycle previous versions of the mobile.
Dominic Sunnebo, global consumer insight director at Kantar Worldpanel, explained that the brand is one that enjoys a high level of loyalty from its customers.
He noted the organisation recently released a report that gave an insight into the smartphone market in the UK.
"Three-quarters of 4S purchases were from people who owned a previous iPhone – it's very, very interesting," Mr Sunnebo stated.
He went on to suggest that Apple knows its market "very, very well" and is capable of providing it with what members want at any particular time.
The Japanese blog Macotakara, quoting a Nikkei Business article, recently claimed Apple is gearing up for two more significant releases in 2012 that are sure to excite consumers – the iPhone 5 and the iPad 3.
