Apple is currently rolling out a new feature for mobile phones, which runs older versions of software, allowing users to download the last compatible version for their device.
The company's brand new operating system, iOS 7, is expected to launch today (September 18th) at around 5pm in the UK. It will be available for a number of the most recent models but anything before the iPhone 4 is left out of the iOS 7 party.
This means these older devices won't get anymore software updates, but this new feature will give those who are incapable of running the update, or don't want to use iOS 7, to continue to use their apps.
Reports indicate a new notification will pop up asking whether they want to download the last compatible version if they try and download an app which is no longer supported by their iOS.
