Motorists with an Apple iPhone in their possession may find it is a lot easier to search for and buy car insurance in the future.
That is because Allianz has launched its own free app entitled Find and Drive, which allows people to protect their vehicles at the touch of a button.
And the benefits do not end there, as the iPhone's GPS technology is put to good use thanks to the app's ability to locate amenities such as car parks and petrol stations.
Drivers can also look out for tyre centres, garages and MOT test stations across the country.
Andy James, head of director customer marketing at Allianz Retail, said: "We appreciate that millions of motorists are smartphone users and this simple-to-use app provides useful information needed to maintain both their vehicle and insurance requirements."
Other apps to attract attention in recent days include the new Lee Westwood feature, which allows fans to hear the views of the player shortly before and after he hits the fairways.
