The Apple iPhone has topped a list of the most popular handsets in the US, which may be of interest to people considering trading in their old mobile phone for cash.
According to research by market analyst Nielsen, from January to October of this year, the smartphone proved to be the favourite choice of consumers.
The second placed choice detailed as having “dominated” the market along with the iPhone include a number of handsets from BlackBerry including the Research in Motion (RIM) BlackBerry 8300 series such as the 8310, 8320 and 8330.
Other mobile phones in Nielsen’s list were the Motorola RAZR V3 series, the RIM BlackBerry 9530 Storm series and the Samsung SPH-M540 Rant.
The Apple iPhone may prove to be an option that people looking to recycle an old mobile consider as it will be available to customers of Vodafone from January 14th on a range of price plans.
