An alleged BlackBerry Z10 mobile phone has been showcased in a video, where it is compared to a rival Apple iPhone 5 device.
Research in Motion (RIM) is expected to demonstrate its completed BlackBerry 10 (BB10) operating system on January 30th, alongside new devices supporting the software.
After recording losses in the last year and gradually losing its customer base, the company hopes that a new approach, with full touch-screen handsets, will help to improve sales.
The voice control system seems to be one of the most impressive features, composing a message more quickly and accurately than Apple’s Siri.
The handset boasts a 4.2-inch screen, so is slightly larger than its rival, but the sleek black casing design is quite similar.
However, the back cover is removable, giving users access to the 1,800 mAh battery, and microSIM and microSD slots.
In the same way as a HTC One X smartphone, the BlackBerry Z10 seems to have an LED notification system that lets owners know they have received a text message at a glance.
