Consumers in the US have been busy snapping up Apple iPhone 4s more than any other device over the last three months.
New figures from the NPD Group show the model was the fastest-selling of all in the third quarter of 2011.
To underline Apple’s dominance of the market, the iPhone 3GS took second spot and, as the new iPhone 4S has been released in the meantime, a further top performer is likely to be added when the next set of results are released.
Such statistics could persuade many people who are currently trading in a mobile that the iPhone is the way forward.
However, those who do not feel this way may instead wish to invest in a HTC Evo 4G, Motorola Droid 3 or Samsung Intensity II, which finished third, fourth and fifth in the table respectively.
The iPhone 4S, which was launched last month, includes more than 200 brand new features.
