The Apple iPhone 3G S is to be made available on the Orange network at some point this year, it has emerged.
In a move which could widen the options of those looking to sell mobiles to pay for the touchscreen smartphone, the carrier announced this week that it had made an agreement to offer the device across the UK.
It was advised that the iPhone would be available via its online store, high street shops and telesales channels, as well as a number of retail partners.
However, no details have yet been unveiled as to what the price of the phone will be, although a site has been set up for interested parties to register their interest.
Commenting on the news, David Walker of T3 said: "Let’s be honest, if Orange wants to make serious inroads into the iPhone market in the UK, it will need to undercut O2 significantly, although handset prices are unlikely to vary."
