Canadian firm BlackBerry has confirmed at its annual Live conference that it will be releasing a more affordable mobile phone running its latest operating system BB10.
BlackBerry’s Q5 promises to bring the BB10 to a more budget-conscious audience, but will still keep the QWERTY keyboard that has become synonymous with the firm.
The device will carry a 3.1-inch LCD display, five megapixel camera, 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage.
It will also run a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 4G connectivity and will all be powered by a 2,100mAh battery.
The plastic BlackBerry Q5 will also have individual buttons that were seen on the later Curve devices.
Nothing has been confirmed about a release date or a solid price yet but it is expected to start rolling-out to a worldwide audience from summertime.
